A story spanning 4 worlds
As with previous games in the LittleBigPlanet series, you follow the story of Sackboy, a loveable protagonist with a heart of gold. On this latest adventure, Sackboy is on a quest to find 3 legendary heroes to enlist their help in stopping Newton and his evil Titans from wreaking havoc in the world of Bunkum.
With 4 worlds to explore and plenty of quirky characters to meet along the way, LittleBigPlanet 3 is fun for all ages and is sure to surprise long-time fans of the series with all the new features it introduces. If you’re a fan of platformers and enjoyed other games like Super Mario 3D World or Crash Bandicoot, then you’re going to want to check this one out.
The legendary heroes
Up until now, Sackboy has stolen the spotlight in all LittleBigPlanet games, but this newest entry switches things up and introduces 3 completely new characters. Here’s a little bit about each one:
- Oddsock – Oddsock is the first of the 3 legendary heroes you’ll meet and is known for being able to sprint really fast and jump off walls. If you love fast-paced platforming then you’re going to very much enjoy playing as Oddsock.
- Toggle – Next up you’ve got Toggle, who is the 2nd legendary hero you come across. He has the unique ability to switch between a large and small form, which will prove to be very useful during your quest to save Bunkum.
- Swoop – Last but not least, you’ve got Swoop. She’s a loveable little bird-like creature that can fly around, giving her access to areas that the other 3 playable characters can’t reach.You get to control all 4 playable characters at various points throughout your journey, so be prepared for a whole lot of fun!
New power-ups
As LittleBigPlanet 3 is a puzzle-platformer game, you can expect to come across a variety of cool new power-ups that’ll help you solve puzzles and progress in the game. Among these new tools you’ve got the hook hat which lets you attach onto rails, the pumpinator which lets you push and pull objects from a distance, as well as boost boots for propelling yourself upwards. Every new power-up brings something new to the game and it's great to see.
Little Big Planet 32
LittleBigPlanet 3 is a fantastic platforming game with so many cool new levels, outfits, and features that long-time fans of the series are sure to love. Not only that, but the game features a multiplayer mode much like its predecessors, so you share the entire experience with a friend or two.
